Candace McCune

Ms. McCune has a solo law practice focusing on collaborative family law, mediation and Christian conciliation.

She graduated from Austin College in Texas (B.A. Elementary Education, 1968) and the University of Denver  School of Law (J.D., 1987).

Before entering law school, she held various jobs such as licensed real estate salesperson, investigator for the District Attorney in Pueblo, Colorado, legal secretary, and elementary school teacher.  She also participated in several volunteer organizations and in the development of a Rape Crisis Center in Pueblo, Colorado.

She was staff attorney for an insurance company from 1987 to 1997. From 1997 to 1999, she was a part-time volunteer Executive Director of Conciliation Ministries of Colorado, a not-for-profit ministry which promotes biblically-based responses to conflict through the education of Christians and the provision of Christian dispute resolution services. During this period, she also handled litigation for the defense in insurance cases. She was with the law firm of Peterson, Dymond and Reagor LLP as Of Counsel, 1999-2003.

Ms. McCune has been involved with CLS for about 10 years. She has served in the board of CLS Metro Denver chapter and is active in the Legal Aid Clinic. She is also a mentor for Peacemaker Ministries and conciliator for Conciliation Ministries.

Candy and her husband, Gary, a psychotherapist, have three sons.
